Peter has been Director of a company, The Language Business, for over 25 years. The company has delivered language training to business professionals across the UK and continental Europe. He has used foreign languages extensively in both an educational and professional setting, and has written a number of ‘how to’ guides for the National Centre for Languages.
Peter had a successful career in sales and marketing, latterly at director level, before setting up The Language Business. As part of his work with this company, he has written guides to improving written English for business purposes, and has delivered workshops on the subject to the company’s clients.
In recent years, demand from clients and authors for proofreading services has increased, and P. W. Proofreading was established to meet this demand. He has worked on a range of fiction, non-fiction, academic and business material.
Away from a professional setting, Peter is an active member of a cryptic crossword group, is a singer-songwriter, and has written a number of local pantomimes. He has four children of university age, none of whom he has yet persuaded to pay for his proofreading and editing work on their dissertations.
